MY SECRET (by dicasp)

Me: this is why I love Caspar.

Please share if you feel the same way… I love his line about if you have the chance to make fun of someone don’t.

As a person who has struggled with an eating disorder in the past (I’d prefer not to go into detail now, but someday I’ll open up about it) I know that little things you say to be witty or funny can literally change someone for the rest of their life. I know tourettes syndrom and an ED are not at all the same, but the message is clear:

You don’t know just how much a single sentence can hurt, but the person hearing your words does, and they will remember.

It is sad that tourettes is so objectified as the end of a joke and made out to be something that can be tossed around just for laughs.

Caspar has some good advice…

I just wish the bullies of my past had heard it first sometimes…

But past is past and I’m recovered now, I just wanted to share this because of how close to home alot of this hit.

Be awesome my followers, sorry I got all deep and shit just now,

Bev
